FAVORITEN: Hurricane Lane
Klasshäst som har en förlust på sex stater. Den kom i det engelska derbyt där han förlorade två framskor. Går upp i distans något som tränaren inte tror skall vara ett problem.
Tränaren: He goes into the Leger with rock-solid form. We feel there is enough evidence there to say he will stay. He’s the class horse in the field. After travelling to Ireland and France, he’s mentally stronger and more mature, and he is ready for this.

FAVORITEN: St Mark’s Basilica
Skall försöka ta sin femte raka Group 1 seger varav tre har tagits i år.
Jockey: It’s a shame there are only four runners in the field but it looks like the quality of St Mark’s Basilica and Tarnawa has scared off any other opposition. He has won three from three this season and his Eclipse form is working out well with Mishriff going on to win the Juddmonte by 6L in York. There were only four runners in the Eclipse, so the small field will not be a disadvantage to him here.
I have lots of respect for Taranawa. She looked a super filly at the back end of last season with wins in the Prix l’Opera and the Breeders’ Cup Turf in Keeneland. Poetic Flare has been great all season, but the 2000 Guineas winner is stepping up in trip here and that could be difficult against the top two. My lad has gears though and I’m expecting a very big run in a quality race.
Tränaren: St Mark’s Basilica is very straightforward. He’s happy to follow along and he’s very off-handed. The plan all along was that, if he was to run in this race, he’d be our only runner. He’s so versatile and he quickens well.”

(Poetic Flare) Tuff häst som gör sin åttonde starten sedan april. Verkar finnas mycket besin i tanken. Går upp i distans vilket är ett litet frågetecken men har avslutat starkt i sina tidigare lopp. Det är bara fyra hästar i loppet så frågetecken hur högt tempot blir. Bäst på ett snabbare underlag.

(Tarnawa) Breeders Cup Turf vinnare som gjort en start i år och vann då ett Group 3 lopp på ett bra sätt. Matchas mot The Arc ett lopp hon är 5.50 att vinna. Kan hetsa upp sig innan start men brukar sköta sig bra i loppen.
Tränaren: She’s in great order. I’ve been quite satisfied with her since her last trip to Leopardstown and her preparation has gone very well. With regard to the ground, we’ll just have to take it as it is. There is nothing else we can do. Ideally, we would like a little bit more ease in the ground for her.
