Gör säsongsdebut så oddset känns något tveksamt trots ett ton i hand på övriga om man tittar på formtalet.
Tränaren: He’s one of the best horses we’ve got running this weekend. There looks a lot of front-runners in here so it’s going to be a tough two miles, but we know he goes very well fresh and he’s in good form at home.

Tungt underlag enligt prognoserna vilket gör loppet svårbedömt med tanke på om hästarna får fäste eller inte.

Gör säsongsdebut. Har vunnit det här loppet de två senaste åren till 1.70 och 2.00. Två segrar på två lopp på tungt men det var för några år sedan. Brukar göra bra lopp direkt.
Tränaren: Min looks the pick. He likes this track, he’s won this race twice and hopefully he’ll put on a show. However, I do think it’s a more competitive race this year.

Slutade tvåa i säsongsdebuten och blev något trött till slut över 4 800 meter. Går ner i distans nu vilket är intressant.
(Allaho / 5.50)
Säsongsdebut och ingen start på tungt samt en tredjeplats på soft så en del frågetecken finns.
Tränaren: Allaho comes back to 2m4f and we’ll see how he goes over this trip. He’s in good form.
(Battleoverdoyen / 7.00)
Vann säsongsdebuten och slog då (S) med sex längder. Ingen start på tung men har två segrar på fyra starter på mjukt.
Tränaren: I was impressed with Battleoverdoyen when he won on his comeback at Down Royal in late October. He did everything right that day and showed enough to suggest that he could be a contender for Grade 1s at this trip. I felt he would come on from Down Royal so hopefully there is more to come from him this afternoon and I think we learnt from last season that we were doing the wrong thing in trying to stretch him out in trip beyond two and a half miles. He is very well and I’m pleased with how he is working but this race represents a major step up in class and he is going to have to be at his best.
(Samcro / 7.00)
Trea i säsongsdebuten slagen av (B). En start på tungt och slutade då tvåa slagen av (Faugheen) med tio längder. Snackhäst för några år sedan men har svårt att få till det i loppen.
Tränaren: As a novice chaser Samcro achieved a bit more than Battleoverdoyen and I didn’t think there would be much between them in that Down Royal race but Samcro made a mistake at the wrong time just as the pace was quickening up with three to jump and while he tried to get back into the race his lack of a previous run told against him.
Much like last season I think this horse will only be at his best in the spring time and I am training him to get back to Cheltenham but I’m hoping he will still be able to show us some high class form on the way. He has come on from Down Royal but he will need to as he is stepping into the big time here and this level of competition demands more. I’m still expecting a good run though.

Nicky Henderson had no regrets on Saturday after withdrawing stable star Altior from the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase late on Friday night, describing the ground at Sandown as a “bottomless glue pit” and saying there was “no point” putting the rest of his season in jeopardy.
“We’ve run two horses so far today and both were beaten at odds-on because neither of them could lift a foot out of the ground,” said Henderson on Saturday.
